Which tint shade is right for you?

A film’s percentage describes the film alone, not the installed visible light transmission (VLT) of the glass and film together. Factory privacy glass affects the final result. Compare the six shades, then have the installed result checked for your vehicle.

Florida requires at least 28% installed glass-and-film VLT on front side windows, at least 15% behind the driver on passenger cars, or at least 6% on verified qualifying multipurpose passenger vehicles. Reflectivity, window position, classification and any applicable exemption also matter. Not every SUV, truck or van qualifies. Florida tint law

Questions

Window tint shade questions

It is the share of visible light the film lets through. A 5% film lets in 5% of the light and looks almost black; a 70% film lets in most of it and looks nearly clear.
